چکیده

Anisotropic elasticity and inelasticity is of relevance in many practical applications. The Eulerian formulation for anisotropic elastic inelastic response based on microstructural vectors used here to model an injection-moulded low-density polyethylene. In contrast with Lagrangian models inelasticity, the insensitive arbitrariness reference intermediate configurations as well measures total deformations. A specific strain-space-type yield function proposed that depends deformation hardening variables. Use also made a rate-independent smooth elastic–inelastic transition. material parameters were calibrated reproduce uniaxial test data loading three directions moulding plane. addition, strongly objective numerical implementation presented simulate stretching plate circular hole. metals, this polyethylene experiences deformations about 10%. Although spin rate could not be determined by available data, simulations loadings different observable influences rate.

Anisotropic Elastic-Viscoplastic Properties at Finite Strains of Injection-Moulded Low-Density Polyethylene

Injection-moulding is one of the most common manufacturing processes used for polymers. In many applications, the mechanical properties of the product is of great importance. Injection-moulding of thin-walled polymer products tends to leave the polymer structure in a state where the mechanical properties are anisotropic, due to alignment of polymer chains along the melt flow direction. The anis...

Grafting of Acrylamide to Low Density Polyethylene During Melt Processing

Acrylamide was grafted in low density polyethylene during melt processing in the presence of a free radical initiator using a torque rheometer in a closed system. Effects of processing time, acrylamide and benzoyl peroxide concentrations were studied. FTIR studies revealed that the degree of grafting increased by an increase in acrylamide concentration. Maximum grafting was obtained at 7 mi...

An approach to low-density polyethylene biodegradation by Bacillus amyloliquefaciens

Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) is a major cause of persistent and long-term environmental pollution. In this paper, two bacterial isolates Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (BSM-1) and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (BSM-2) were isolated from municipal solid soil and used for polymer degradation studies. The microbial degradation LDPE was analyzed by dry weight reduction of LDPE film, change in pH of cul...

An active leakage-injection scheme applied to low-voltage SRAMs

An active leakage-injection scheme (ALIS) for lowvoltage (LV) high-density (HD) SRAMs is presented. By means of a feedback loop comprising a servo-amplifier and a commondrain MOSFET, a current matching the respective bit-line leakage is injected onto the line during precharge and sensing, preventing the respective capacitances from erroneous discharges. The technique is able to handle leakages ...
